Brief Description:
"Kiowa Apache (Plains Apache) is a nearly-extinct Southern Athabaskan language, distinctly different from the rest of the Southern Athabaskan dialect complex. It is spoken in Caddo County, western Oklahoma, by the descendants of an Apache band that joined the Kiowas in the eighteenth century. Only three very elderly first-language speakers remain, together with a few semi-speakers, bu there are no second language speakers." Victor Golla, Atlas of the World's Languages 2007 pg. 16
