Brief Description: "Island Chumash (Isleño) was the Chumash language originally spoken on three islands in the Santa Barbara Channel - San Miguel, Santa Rosa, and Santa Cruz - but with the establishment of the Spanish missions, the Island communities were relocated on the mainland, primarily at San Buenaventura.
