Brief Description:
A Jewish language which arose out of the West Slavic language which gave rise to Czech, Slovak and Polish in what is now the Czech Republic. It was written in the Hebrew script, and was gradually replaced by Yiddish, which seems to have borrowed many words from it. c. 700 - 1600 AD.
