Brief Description:
"Galice-Applegate was a language of the Oregon Athabaskan subgroup formerly spoken along Galice Greek and Applegate River, tributaries of the Rogue River in southwestern Oregon. There were at least two distinct dialects, but only the Galice Creek dialect is well documented. After the Rogue River War of 1855-56 the Galice-Applegate people were forcibly resettled in northern Oregon on the Grand Ronde and Siletz Reservations, where the language fell into disuse." Victor Golla, Atlas of the World's Languages 2007 pg. 14
