Brief Description: An ancient language of east-central Italy. The Marsi lived east of the Paeligni in the Lacus Fucinus area. The chief Marsian town was Marruvium. Scanty remains exist, and since the language seems to have been Latinized at an early date, what is left is problematic. 300-150 BC.
