Brief Description:
"Northeastern Pomo, a language of the Pomoan family, was spoken on the eastern slope of the Inner Coast Range in Northern California, around Stonyford, on the west side of the Sacramento Valley north of Clear Lake. The Northeaster Pomo were isolate d from other Pomoan languages by territory belonging to the Patwin, with whom they culturally identified; bilingualism in Patwin was common.
