Brief Description: "Northern Tutchone is an Athabaskan language (closely related to Southern Tutchone) spoken in the Yukon communities of Mayo, Pelly Crossing, Stewart Crossing and Carmacks. There are about 200 speakers out of a total population of 1,100. Early documentation of Northern Tutchone was carried out in the 1890s by the Anglican Archdeacon Thomas Canham, but most of his materials remain in manuscript."
